swingarm with adjustable spring. Dual-piston front disc brakes and an exclusive sealed,
oil-bathed, multi-disc rear brake provides abundant stopping power.
Selectable four-wheel drive gives the rider the ability to choose two-wheel or four-wheel drive.
The limited-slip front differential permits easy turning, yet the rider can utilize the Variable Front
Differential Control to "lock" the front wheels for maximum traction on difficult terrain. |

transmission with automatic clutch, this drive system allows the Bayou
300 to make tight turns on difficult trails or tread lightly on

Lakota Sport |
Motors Corp., U.S.A., announced that the Lakota™ Sport—its easy-to-ride, entry-level sport
all-terrain vehicle (ATV)—will return to the Good Times™ company's lineup for 2003.
In a recent test, Dirt Wheels magazine compared the Lakota Sport to the Honda Sportrax
250EX and concluded that the "Kawasaki Lakota [Sport] offers the best bang for the buck. With
only a $200 price difference between the two, the extra 61cc of engine displacement on the
Lakota and its longer travel suspension give it a clear edge in overall performance." |

KFX 400 |
The KFX400 is Kawasaki's new ultra-high-performance sport-model ATV. It is powered by a
398cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve, four-stroke engine that is matched to a
five-speed-plus-reverse manual transmission. Electric start is standard as are dual halogen
headlights. The chassis is comprised of a high-tensile steel alloy frame and subframe, and
weighs 370 pounds dry. Suspension duties are handled by dual front A-arms with
preload-adjustable shocks and an aluminum-alloy rear swingarm with preload adjustment. The
KFX400 rides on aluminum-alloy wheels and stopping power is provided by triple disc brakes.
